A Schengen visa lets you visit 29 European countries with a single visa — up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
- Many nationalities can enter Schengen visa-free for up to 90 days/180-day period
- Visa-required nationalities must apply through an embassy or consulate before travel
- Apply to the consulate of the country where you'll spend the most time
- Valid passport with at least 3 months validity beyond intended stay
- Travel medical insurance (mandatory, minimum €30,000 coverage)
- Proof of accommodation for the entire stay
- Round-trip airline ticket or itinerary
- Proof of sufficient funds (approx. €100/day for most countries)
- Proof of employment, study, or other ties to home country
